Meet Jimmy the Jack Russell Terrier! Jimmy's previous owner had to leave the country so when Jimmy's new mom found out she took him in. Jimmy is happy with his new mom, and this is her first dog so she's learning something new every day. Jimmy came in for his first grooming today and he is so sweet! We hope to see Jimmy and his wonderful mom again soon.
New pet carriers have just arrived at Venicepets! The first carrier (above) is perfect for travel or everyday. There's plenty of ventilation from all sides and includes a luggage tag (so you can slip in a card/note with your pet's information, etc.) You can choose either black or brown. The whole thing unzips so your pet can enter/exit from the top, or any of the four sides.
The second type of carrier we just got in stock is also perfect for travel or every day use. There's plenty of ventilation, your pet can enter/exit from either the front or side, and there are 2 extra pockets for storing things like a leash, poop bags, treats, etc. There's a quilted pad on the inside that is machine washable, and the shoulder strap is adjustable and removable! The handle itself is round and padded for a comfortable grip. This carrier comes in three sizes - small (up to 8 lbs.) medium (up to 16 lbs.) or large (up to 22 lbs.).
Check out these super cute new sushi toys we just got in the shop today! We love the smiley faces on these toys - it makes you almost feel bad they're going to get thrown around by your doggy! Each sushi toy comes with a squeaker inside as well and they are fun and fuzzy.
Isn't she so cute? She's a chihuahua/boston terrier mix! She came in to get her nails done and all of our staff immediately fell in love with her. We've never seen a chihuahua/boston terrier mix before, do they call them choston? Or bihuahua? Or a bochi?
"Who you lookin' at?"Meet Wallace the Maltese! Wallace has come in for grooming before but this time he got his very first Mohawk! As you can see he's already channeling his punk rock side. Wallace also got a little raincoat to protect himself and his new mohawk from the rain :) It's been pretty foggy/gloomy in Venice lately so it might come in handy some time soon! Meet Zeus the chihuahua! Zeus is friends with Elvis from Chiwowwow! Chiwowwow makes super cool and comfy dog hoodies made from vintage t-shirts - just like the one Zeus is wearing. Because each one is made from vintage t-shirts they are one-of-a-kind, so your pup is the only one who has the hoodie and nobody else! They also make the super cute Smile bed Zeus is laying on. Both the bed and vintage hoodies are of course available right here at Venicepets! We sold a lot of the Smile beds last year so we've ordered them again this year by popular demand. We're expecting a giant amount of products to arrive to the shop in the weeks to come and new items have already started to trickle in! Like these super cute rubber band bows. Meet Mozart the miniature schnauzer! Today was Mozart's first time at Marina Dog Grooming. He's very playful and he absolutely loves his dad! When his dad came to pick him up Mozart literally jumped for joy. Our staff also got some hugs and kisses from Mozart. We hope to see him and his wonderful dad back again soon!
Today's feature item is the Kelle pet carrier! This carrier is one of the most practical carriers I've ever seen and our customers absolutely love them. The carrier features an adjustable padded strap that doubles as a leash and it opens from the front and both side for easy access and maximum ventilation.
Meet Birdie the bulldog! Today was Birdie's first time at Marina Dog Grooming and she was such a good girl! She just relaxed the whole time. When her mom came to pick her up she decided it was time for Birdie to get all new things! Birdie got a nice soft new bed, a stylish bowl and this great Peace hoodie! As you can see Birdie was very pleased with all her new things. She smiled for every picture we took.
Meet Captain Cookie the Airedale Terrier! Captain Cookie came in for his first grooming with us a few days ago so we took his picture. He got a very Airedale haircut and he looks great! Thanks to Captain Cookie and his wonderful mom for coming to Marina Dog Grooming/Venicepets. We hope to see them back again soon!
Meet Lumi the cat and his awesome dad! Today was Lumi's first time at Marina Dog Grooming (and cat grooming of course) so we took a picture. Every time Mari counted "1..2..3" to take the picture, as soon as Mari said "3" Lumi would say "nyaaa" as if she was saying "cheese" or something. A very talkative cat indeed. Personally I love Lumi's paws, so soft and fluffy looking! We hope to see Lumi and her dad back again soon - they make a very cool looking pair :)
Meet Benny the Morkie (maltese/yorkie mix) and his wonderful mom! Today was Benny's first time at Marina Dog Grooming and it was a pleasure to meet him and have him with us. After the grooming Benny's mom bought him some treats. All in all a good day for Benny. We hope to see Benny and his mom back again soon!
Meet Hachi the maltipoo (maltese/poodle mix)! Hachi is only 3.5 months old so his wonderful parents brought him in for some shopping. He's almost old enough to walk around safely so Hachi got a brand new soft harness and matching lead. He also tried on some outfits!

"Ok guys...I'm done. Nap time!"
It was a lot of fun dressing Hachi up and he looked great in his new harness and lead. We hope to see Hachi and his parents back again soon!

Here's a photo of Bella and Peanut with some of the items they donated, and they really donated a lot of things! Thank you so much to Bella, Peanut, and their mom for their kindness, great generosity and compassion for all the pets in West L.A Animal Shelter who are awaiting their forever homes. I'm sure the items will help make their stay more comfortable and cheerful.
It was the last pink one in the shop and not available for special order so of course Chloe had to have it!! Now Chloe is all set for fall and winter :) (P.S readers: We still have one of this style left in all beige and it's the last one in the shop so come get it before it's gone!)
Meet Minnie and Eloise, the maltese! Minnie (right) and Eloise (left) are sisters and Minnie's dad brings her in all the time for grooming. Minnie is very girly and her dad treats both of them like princesses. I'm not sure if you can tell by the photo but they're both extremely tiny girls! We hope to see them back again soon.
Meet Gabby, the shihtzu! Gabby is a long time customer and her wonderful mom brings her in for grooming and shopping all the time. Gabby is a very girly shihtzu so of course her haircut has to match her personality. We hope to see Gabby and her mom again soon!
Meet Lala the pug and her girls! Lala comes all the time for grooming, and everyone absolutely loves her. Lala is very sweet and always makes everyone smile. We hope to see Lala and the rest of the family again soon!
Meet Daisy the pit bull mix! Daisy is another one of our regular grooming customers and this is her wonderful family. Daisy is very sweet and shy, and she has a face that just makes you want to hug her right away. We love to have Daisy here whenever she pays us a visit. We hope to see Daisy and her family again soon!
Meet Honey, the toy poodle! Honey is one of our long time grooming customers. Her wonderful mom always brings her in for her haircut, so we took a picture of her yesterday! Honey is super tiny and sweet, she loves to give kisses to everyone. She was really excited so it was tough to get a good picture, but I really like this one! There's also another one we got of Honey that I really love:
