Meet Lucy, the Shiba Inu!

She's one of our regular grooming customers :)

The Shiba Inu is the smallest of the six original and distinct spitz breeds of dog from Japan.

A small, agile dog that copes very well with mountainous terrain, the Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting. It is similar in appearance to the Akita, though much smaller in stature. It is one of the few ancient dog breeds still in existence in the world today.

She definitely knows how to be one of the photogenic smiley dogs : D

Imagine you see this smile everyday, even though you are tired from work. RELIEVE!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★HARLOW-SHIBA INU★

Meet Harlow the Shiba Inu puppy! Harlow is super cute and super friendly. Her mom says she looks like Bolt! What do you think?

Harlow came in for her first grooming and it was so nice to meet her and her sweet mom! Happy Thanksgiving from all our staff at Venicepets, we hope to see Harlow and her mom back again soon!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★YAMA-SHIBA INU★

Meet Yama, the shiba inu! Yama's awesome dad brings her in for grooming all the time. Yama, like other shiba inus has a very strong spirit. She's never afraid to show her true emotions and is a loyal dog. Yama is quite famous back in Brooklyn so here's a little shout-out to all of Yama's Brooklyn fans! We hope to see Yama and her dad back again soon :)

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★MARI-SHIBA INU★

Meet Mari, the Shiba Inu! Shiba Inu is a popular Japanese breed, and there is a great Japanese movie about a Shiba Inu whose name is also Mari(!), where she bravely protects her puppies and family and survives a catastrophic earthquake. She becomes seperated from her family after the earhthquake but manages to survive and find her family again! Every time I see this Mari I always remember the movie.

Venicepets just so happens to be Mari's favorite shop! Everytime before coming to the shop, Mari must walk 20 minutes to get to Venicepets, which is the final destination and of course her prize! Once she gets here her family buys her one of her favorite treats - either a bully stick or a flossy tendon, and Mari is responsible for carrying her treat all the way back which is another 20 minute walk. According to her family Mari carries her treat and never drops it! Just like the movie version, Mari never gives up and has a lot of determination :) We hope to see Mari again next time when she gets her treat!
