THE AFRO DOG - SECRET'S MUSIC VIDEO

One of our good clients, Secret the poodle, has her very own music video on Youtube! We loooove it. Secret gets her unique afro haircut right here at Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming. Please click here and check it out! The video also features her little brother, Ali, who gets a mohawk hairstyle with us too. The video is ridiculously cute, the song selection is perfect! The harness she is wearing is also from Venicepets, but she had it customized on the back with rhinestones. Secret truly has a style that is all her own.

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ~* BELLA - VICTORIAN BULLDOG *~

Meet Bella the Victorian Bulldog! If you've never heard of one, Victorian bulldogs are a relatively new breed of bulldog created by a breeder named Ken Mollett in 1985. His goal was to create a bulldog that most resembled the bulldogs from Victorian times, hence the name. The Victorian Bulldog has a more athletic body and a longer muzzle and legs.

Bella came for her first grooming with us and she was a very good girl! A sweet temperament, just like all our other bulldog customers. You can read more about her breed here. It's very interesting! We hope to see Bella and her mama back again soon :)

Meet Mazzie the labradoodle! Mazzie is a sweet, adorable girl from San Francisco! She came for her first grooming with us this week. Something about her feels very modern and chic. I for one have never seen a labradoodle with her coloring. We love it! We hope to see her back again soon!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ~* BOOTZILLA - PUG/JACK RUSSELL MIX *~

The second Bootzilla walked in to the grooming room it was love. She's a 1 year-old pug/jack russell mix with a loveable personality and face! She's a rescue, and extremely well behaved. It was her first grooming ever but she acted like she's been doing it her whole life. She had a "No big deal" kind of attitude. We think she enjoyed being pampered :)

We hope to see Bootzilla and her mom back again soon!

ANESTHESIA-FREE TEETH CLEANING REMINDER FOR AUGUST

Getting a pet's teeth cleaned at the vet can be stressful for both pet and owner because pets need to be put under general anesthesia for the vet to clean their teeth. Not to mention it's expensive. But not to worry! Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming offers anesthesia-free teeth cleaning once a month! This service is performed by our dental hygienist, Laurie, who does an excellent job. Your pet simply sits on her lap and she talks and praises to reassure them. Most pets love the attention and enjoy seeing her! Your pets will thank you for it. Their teeth look so much better and their breath is much better after the cleaning. Mari's poodles, Mocha and Java, love to get their teeth cleaned every month. Here they are pictured with Laurie after having their teeth cleaned :) Teeth cleaning is available for both dogs and cats.

Remember that getting your pet's teeth cleaned is necessary to prevent your beloved friend from getting any infected teeth or gum disease. Can you imagine what your mouth would feel like if you didn't brush every day? We can't stress enough the importance of dental hygiene for your pet.
