Popi is one of our very good customers here at Venicepets. He's been featured on our blog at least 2 times before, so I'm sure you've seen him already. Popi recently started his very own Facebook Page which features tons of adorable pictures of him and his sister Cece hanging out, and he's using his page to promote good causes for animals that are less fortunate than he is. TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★LYLE-ENGLISH BULLDOG★

Meet Lyle the english bulldog! Lyle is only 5 years old, but he's already quite a busy dog. He's a spokesdog for Natural Balance Pet Food, he skateboards, and he's a model for Heal by HRY. He gets especially busy during the holidays - this year he'll be in the Rose Parade snowboarding and just being generally cute! He was in last year's Rose Parade too. He even has his own website, GoLyle.com.

Lyle stopped by Venicepets the other day to get this awesome knitted sweater he's wearing in the pictures. Of course, as a model he gave us his best model pose. Go to Lyle's website to see videos of him snowboarding and skateboarding, and don't forget he'll be in this year's Rose Parade on channel 5 Saturday, January 1st, 2011. Lyle will be on the World's Heaviest Float, which is of course supposed to set the Guinness World Record for world's heaviest float! You can catch Lyle and the rest of his skateboarding bulldog pals on the float on December 26th, channel 5, at 4:30pm.

HOLIDAY SEASON STORE HOURS

Hello again! Like the picture? I took my chihuahua Lolly (black one on the right) to see her biological sister at an annual holiday party her foster mom hosts every year. Santa Paws is so big compared to them!

Anyway, Christmas is less than a week away and New Year's isn't too far behind, so we thought we'd give you a head's up on our hours of operation.

Christmas Hours:
12/25 Sat. - CLOSED
12/26 Sun. - CLOSED
12/27 Mon. - CLOSED
We will be open Christmas Eve with regular business hours for grooming, however the retail might close early. We will reopen Tues. the 28th with regular business hours.

New Year's Hours:
12/31 Fri. - CLOSED
1/01 Sat. - CLOSED
1/02 Sun. - CLOSED
1/03 Mon. - CLOSED
We will reopen Tues. the 4th with regular business hours.

We just got more Smiley beds in, just in time for the holidays! We previously had only yellow Smiley in the store but now there's pink too.

For those of you who like the Smiley bed, there's also the Smiley backpack! The Smiley backpack attaches easily to a harness, so you can put your doggy's poop bags, treats, or anything you want inside! The backpack is also attaches to any leash, and comes with a strap so you can carry it for yourself as well. And my favorite part - it squeaks too! It's a toy, backpack or pouch all in one.

All of our staff is completely in love with this adorable new Gingerbread house we just got in stock at the shop. There's only 1 so nab it before somebody else does! The mat inside is removable and the entire house disassembles so you can put it away neatly after the holidays. SO. CUTE!
