Happy Holidays from everyone at Venicepets & Marina Dog Grooming! We'll be getting some much needed rest and relaxation with our families and loved ones, here are our Holiday hours for your convenience:

- We will be closed on Sundays again until the 2012 Holiday season begins.

- Monday Dec. 26th, closed.

- Tuesday Dec. 27th through Thursday Dec. 29th, we will have regular boutique and grooming hours.

- Friday Dec. 30th through January 2nd, closed for New Year's.

- We will be back January 3rd to our regular boutique and grooming hours.

Meet Felini the French Bulldog! Felini is 7 months old, and came for his first grooming with us. He's got the cutest face! Just look at that smug expression on his face. Priceless.

ANESTHESIA-FREE TEETH CLEANING REMINDER FOR DECEMBER, THIS MONDAY!

Getting a pet's teeth cleaned at the vet can be stressful for both pet and owner because pets need to be put under general anesthesia for the vet to clean their teeth. Not to mentions it's expensive. But not to worry! Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming offers anesthesia-free teeth cleaning once a month! This service is performed by our dental hygienist, who does an excellent job. Your pet simply sits on her lap and she talks and praises to reassure them. Most pets love the attention and enjoy seeing her! Your pets will thank you for it. Their teeth look so much better after the cleaning. Mari's poodles, Mocha and Java, love to get their teeth cleaned every month. NEW ARRIVAL - SWEATERS, HOODIES, AND VESTS

We got some more clothing in this past week! A restock of these comfy, soft hoodies above - the Los Angeles hoodie (tourists love to take these as souvenirs, and proud-to-be-Angelinos too) and the 'Go Green' recycle symbol hoodie.

Also some camo peace sign hoodies and some cute, soft little argyle vests.

And of course, we had to get more of these army harness vests when we found out they came in more trim colors! Army green with red trim, and a slightly darker army green with brown trim. Super useful as these have D-rings attached to them so they double as a harness. Also available in big dog sizes, in army green or black!

We just got some brand new, colorful canvas carriers in stock. These are casual carriers for going out - not airline approved carriers. The ones above have a removable mat inside, a strap for attaching to their harness, and zips shut on the top. Available in small or large.

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ~* PRINCE THE MALTESE & SUNNY THE CHIHUAHUA *~

Meet Prince the Maltese and Sunny the long hair Chihuahua! Prince and Sunny were here a few days ago for their first grooming with us, and even got their teeth brushed (This is different from anesthesia-free teeth cleaning, this is done with a toothbrush and dental spray. This service is an add-on available with grooming)! They're very sweet and happy little dogs.

LOLLY SAYS HELLO!

Greetings from one of our resident doggies, my Chihuahua, Lolly. I got her the zebra print knitted sweater a few months ago and we just wanted to take her photo wearing it when she came for grooming last week. She wears it all the time now that it's winter! The black and white go well with her black and white markings. Although Lolly has really short fur, and not much of it, I still bring her in once every 6 weeks or so to get groomed because like lots of other dogs, her, um, anal glands get super full. And they make her smell awful! So she needs them professionally expressed, and of course she needs to keep her nails nice and trimmed and her ears clean. She also gets bathed with oatmeal shampoo to keep her dry skin nice and hydrated. So as you can see, grooming is not just for furry dogs! Little short hair dogs like Lolly need professional help sometimes too :P I never realized how tiny she is until I saw this photo of her in my arm. My hand looks massive!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ~* SUMMER - POMERANIAN MIX *~

Meet Summer the Pomeranian mix! Summer came in a week or two ago and got herself an orange Venicepets t-shirt to wear to a doggy meet up. How cute!

It's been pretty chilly in L.A lately (39 degrees farenheit at 7am a few days ago!), so even furry dogs like Summer need to wear at least a little something to be comfortable and warm. She looks ready to play!

We hope cute little Summer stops by to visit us again soon.
