We've restocked all sizes of one of our best-selling carriers, the black/brown nylon pet carrier! We've also received the same carrier in an organic denim/red version! They're perfect for travel or every day use. There's plenty of ventilation, your pet can enter/exit from either the front or side, and there are 2 extra pockets for storing things like a leash, poop bags, treats, etc. There's a quilted pad on the inside that is machine washable, and the shoulder strap is adjustable and removable! The handle itself is round and padded for a comfortable grip. Best of all, these carriers can be collapsed flat for when you're not using it. The brown/black carrier comes in three sizes - small (up to 8 lbs.) medium (up to 16 lbs.) or large (up to 22 lbs.). Organic denim comes in small or medium.

Mackey got a brand new collar and leash, he looks great! Hope to see you again soon Mackey!
Meet Riley the terrier mix! Riley came for grooming a few days ago. She's a very sweet, friendly girl and very pretty!
A coat in the summer?!?! Caleigh likes to think ahead of time (September isn't that far away) and so she got this cute reversible red/black vest today. Good call because it was the last one in the shop! Aside from being sweet, friendly, and super cute, she's also a very good model and gave us some really good poses. It was really hard to pick the best one so here's Caleigh's version of "Blue Steel" from Zoolander. Or was it "Le Tigre?"
Meet Tristan the standard poodle puppy! Isn't he cute? He had his first haircut with us last week. He's only 10 weeks old so he's got a lot of growing to do. Thank you for coming to Marina Dog Grooming and we hope to see you soon!
Happy 4th of July everyone! We'll be closed Monday, July 4th to celebrate and we will resume business as usual Tuesday, July 5th. Many people will be barbecueing but don't forget about your dog - instead of giving table scraps that might give them a tummy ache why not stop by Venicepets and pick up a can of 'Red White & Blueberry' canned food? It's a special flavor to celebrate our nation's day of independence that includes chicken, red apples, cranberries, and blueberries. Or get a little hamburger and hot dog squeaky toy!
Dear sweet Maggie the newfoundland and her family are moving to Hawaii, so this was her last grooming with us. We'll miss her so much - she's like a giant stuffed animal! One of our good customers, Ally the pomeranian, is moving up north, which means this was her last grooming with us ;__; We're going to miss her so much! We'll always remember her happy face and how much she loves chicken treats. Please stop by if you're ever back in L.A again Ally, and good luck in NorCal!
This is Nikki the Maltese and her mom! It was Nikki's first time grooming with us, and she got a little pink bow on her hair as a finishing touch. Thank you Nikki for coming to Marina Dog Grooming!
We just got these great new leather collars in stock at the shop! We actually ordered more, but some sold before I had the chance to photograph them. We're very happy to have these collars in our shop - the leather used for these collars is great quality, and each one is handmade in the U.S.A. Because these are handmade in the company's own studio, we're able to take a customer's special requests for their dream collar! Like a design but need a unique length or width? What about a different color leather or hardware? Let us know and we'll see if we can make your request a reality.
The details on some of the studs is amazing. We have only a few styles left in the shop but more are available. Stop by Venicepets and ask one of our sales staff to show you the rest of the collection and to place a special order.
Meet Charlie the goldendoodle! Charlie came in for grooming and she's a very happy girl as you can see! I don't know why but every time I meet a goldendoodle or labradoodle they're always super happy and playful dogs. Charlie's mom, Missy Peregrym, is an actress - she's on the show Rookie Blue, which you can watch every Thursday at 10pm on ABC. Be sure to tune in, we will!

Hello everyone! Java wanted me to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day weekend and to let you know that we'll be closed Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day. We hope everyone enjoys their extra long weekend!
Our good friend stopped by again! He's Baby & Princess the chihuahua's dad. This time he brought his 2 pitbulls, Coco and Mister the puppy. Coco is like the big sister, watching over her little brother and sisters. Their dad tells us everybody gets along great. Like Baby and Princess, Coco and Mister are so sweet!
Meet Lumi the Samoyed! Lumi's parents bring him in for grooming all the time and Lumi is always a pleasure to have around. He looks like he's trying to say 'cheese' but it just came out as a howl :)
Hoovely the yorkie comes for grooming with us and this time she brought a bunch of her buddies to get groomed too! I guess it's good word of mouth (or muzzle). Sorry for the bad joke, haha! I had to do it. Aren't they all so cute?
Spring is here and summer will be arriving soon (nevermind that it's sorta rainy in L.A this week...) and we have cute, lightweight clothing for your furry friends waiting at Venicepets!
If your dog is into rock n' roll, we suggest these girly but tough tank tops.
If you have a girly girl, we suggest these cute little summer dresses with a bubble skirt effect.
And if your dog is a boy, we suggest these cute sleeveless sailor hoodies available in blue or red.
Please stop by the shop and check these out before they're all gone!
Meet Franky and Beans the boston terriers! Franky and Beans are huge fans of California Natural Small Bites, which we carry at Venicepets. This kibble is great and it's the only one we like to sell because it's all natural, made in the U.S.A, and the ingredients are kept simple. Franky and Beans' dad always stops by to pick up their food, and this time he brought them along with him.
A few months ago we featured this little one's dad and his other chihuahua! He has a total of 3 chihuahuas! As a chihuahua parent I totally understand why - once you get one chihuahua you just want more! They're great little dogs - very sweet, loving, loyal, and very protective of their families :P. They make great watchdogs too!
Meet Pearl, the bichon frise/cavalier king charles mix! Pearl is one of our good grooming customers. He got his haircut today and I was trying to take his photo but he was so excited to see his parents again and my photography skills are very limited so sorry for the blurry shot. I'll take a better photo next time! Pearl is a very sweet boy and we can't wait to see him again.

Tuk-Tuk is adorable and we can't wait for him to stop by the shop again. Thanks for shopping with us little guy!
The bully sticks your dog loves, now in a ring shape! A bully ring is a good way to keep your dog occupied since they have to figure out how to chew it down (it was lots of fun watching my dogs come up with new chewing styles). If you haven't yet tried a bully ring please stop by the shop and pick one up for your dog! If you'd rather get one of the other classic shapes we have bully sticks, bully barbells, and bully braided sticks in stock as well.

Meet Mia, the poodle/chihuahua mix! Isn't she soooooo cute?! I almost passed out when I saw these photos, too too cute! She's actually sitting on the big table of toys we have in the shop - if you look at the toys, you can get an idea of how teeny tiny she is.
Mia is pretty much the same size as the duck right behind her! She's only 6 weeks old. As an owner of 2 chihuahuas, Mia reminds me of how soft, tiny, and warm my dogs were when they were babies! I kind of miss it now. A lot of people don't know until they do it, but caring for a baby dog is just like caring for a human baby! A lot of hard work, love and care, and sleepless nights..Especially with tiny dogs. I'm sure Mia's family knows exactly what I'm talking about :)
We hope to see you again soon Mia!
A very happy birthday to Wallace, our good little friend who turned 5 years old this past Monday! Wallace's mom got him groomed, and bought him a bottle of Cristail (obviously it's not real, it's a squeaky toy) and a Venicepets Rasta tee (and 100% of the proceeds go to help the Japanese Red Cross!)Wallace has been on the blog before, click here to check out his first blog! He's so adorable, thank you for shopping at Venicepets and getting a fundraiser tee Wallace! See you soon!
*Venicepets tees have been reduced in price from $29.00 down to $12.00, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross. Tees are available in sizes XXS to L, but quantities are limited. Meet BG, the yorkie/chihuahua mix! BG is super tiny and cute. At first I thought she was just a puppy, but her mom said BG is almost 4 years old! She's like a forever puppy :)
Back in September we featured Kalbi on our blog. Kalbi the chihuahua is the mascot for his restaurant, Tokyo Kalbi! We just wanted to share this amazing poster of him that adorns the Tokyo Kalbi restaurant. We love it! Kalbi did a very good job modeling and now I have an intense craving for Japanese BBQ. A successful advertisement indeed.
Meet Pochi (left) and Ikkyu (right) the French Bulldogs! Pochi is 4 years old and Ikkyu is his little brother - he's 2 years old. They stopped by today to do a little shopping.
Pochi and Ikkyu ended up getting a Smiley pouch and a Peace pouch. Great choice! These versatile little pouches can be attached to a leash, harness (this way it looks like a teeny backpack!) or collar, and feature a little squeaky inside to get your dog's attention if need be. You can put poo bags or treats inside, it's up to you how you want to use it!
