Thanks to all of our customers, 2009 was another great year for us. VENICEPETS and MDG were both very busy especially during the holiday season. But we apologize for not updating the BLOG again!

LONG TIME NO SEE AGAIN!!!

Hello everyone! It's been a looong time again! Even after announcing regular updates at the start of the New Year, no updates for few months...

Since many of the venicepets fans requested for timely updates, I have awoken to update the blog!

To tell you the truth, I have been working on a major project and it has finally completed! Which is the venicepets original T-shirts! They are finally out on the sales floor★★

★RAIN COAT FOR RAINY DAYS★

In LA, we are in the midst of rainy season. (I personally love the rainy season♪)

It started with a strong rain before last year's Christmas. It would keep raining for a while and this week, it is intermittent... By the way, a rainbow was spotted from the store this afternoon!

It is a big deal for our dog friends in LA to walk in the rain. For this reason, venicepets carries a good selection of dog rain coats♪

Our sizes start from Chihuahua up to German Shepard. (Many customers tell us that it is difficult to find sizes for large dogs.)

Because of the busy holiday season, I have not been able to update the blog for a long time. I can’t believe that it’s February already. I will be updating the blog again properly so please check regularly.

On the Christmas Eve and as Christmas gift, Mocha and Java received a delicious and cute looking cupcake assortment from Hana, the owner of Three Dogs Bakery in Santa Monica.

These cute cupcakes and sweets are for dogs which are all handmade by HANA.
Mocha and Java will tell you how they tasted. (The sweet smell was just like a normal cake.) Sydney was also very curious.

★4 WEEKS OLD PUPPY★

A pitbull puppy (male, 4 weeks) visited the store. He felt very soft and flabby. Shopping while being held by his mom. We're anxious to see how big he's grown the next time he comes in. See you again soon. -Mari

★CHRISTMAS DISPLAY★

Since the passing of Thanksgiving day, the season is headed into a true holiday mode. The storefront display at venicepets has been changed to Christmas theme. (Thanks you Mariko!) We really wanted to display a lighted flamingo but gave up assembling it but instead, there will be a Santa dog waiting for you. Next week, we plan to decorate the store with more Christmas theme so please come on in. -Mari

★OPEN SUNDAYS DURING HOLIDAY SEASON 2008★

Today, we were open on Sunday as always during the holiday seasons. Our regular, Tenka came to play and stayed with Java and I at the store while her mom was out during the day. Tenka and Java played with every other dog kids that came into the store which exhausted them both and they took a nap. See you soon. (The RASTA Jacket that Tenka is wearing is one of our most popular items.)

We took a picture of her with the dog mannequin since they were both exactly the same size!
The very tiny DORA was adopted by her mom a few years ago and moved to Venice.

This is Dolphin, 7 week old Siberian Husky. Dolphin’s parents shopped at venicepets by themselves before but today they came in with her. Since Dolphin is still a baby, she was held in her dad’s arms. She might be bigger the next time she comes in. When I held her, she felt like a plush doll with her soft hair. Seabass, (YorkyPoo, Male) a customer from Tampa, Florida. He purchased Little Lilly boots! It was his first boots but walked like he was already used to them. It was purchased to be used for walks at the beach since it is even hot for us to be walking bear foot on the sand. He was a cute fluffy puppy. KIMONO PUPPY ★CECE & POPPI★

Our regular customer CECE (Maltese) purchased the Kimono.
The hair ribbon imitating the Shichi Go San hair style was very cute along with the obi kimono belt. The other one is her brother POPPI. They are both very cute.

ANESTHESIA-FREE TEETH CLEANING

We now started providing anesthesia-free teeth cleaning service for dogs and cats, every 4th Monday of the month.

Her technique is kind and gentle. The pet simply sits in her lap, she talks and praises to reassure them. Most pets love the attention and enjoy seeing her!

Your pets will thank you for it. They look and smell so much better after cleaning.

OF COURSE NO MORE BAD BREATH!!

My Mocha and Java are treated every month. Now their teeth are beautiful white with clean breath!!

She is scheduled to come in on Monday, August 25th.

A Lost Dog!

While I was chatting with my client this morning, I suddenly saw a chihuahua running against the traffic on Lincoln Blvd! I instantly rushed out with a leash and was able to capture it back to safety.

Luckily all the cars stopped but if it was a second late, she would have been hit.

Unfortunately, she neither had a collar nor a tag. She is a chihuahua mix with eyes turning white and must be a senior from its skin condition. Being tired from this ordeal, she slept like she was in a coma inside the cage. She is used to being bathed. Since her owner has not been found I will take her in. If anyone has any information, please contact venicepets.

Porkchop’s grooming behavior was excellent for his very first haircut session! Beside him is Joe, his father. Also he has a brother. His name is Bailly!!

パッケージを開けたとたんに、”超かわいーー！！”って一目ぼれ。

メーカーのRINNYから連絡があったとき”今度ドーナッツのおもちゃのベッド版が出るよ！”と聞いて商品を見ないままオーダーだけ入れていたんです。やっと届きました☆

ドーナッツのおもちゃも以前に入荷したときにあっという間に完売してしまったので今回も多めに入荷しました！！

本物のドーナッツそっくり。色は二色でピンクとチョコレート（イチゴとチョコレート？？）

お洗濯OKです。サイズは7lbs以下の子くらいでしょうか。。。？とにかくかわいいのでお店に見に来てね！

Newly arrived item for today is the DONUT BED.
As soon as the package was opened, it was love at first sight, it is so cute!

When the manufacturer told me that there’s going to be a bed version of the donut toy, I ordered it without seeing them first and they have just arrived!

Since the donut toys were sold out immediately upon their arrival, we have stocked up ample quantity for these beds.

It looks like a real donut. It comes in pink and chocolate. (strawberry and chocolate??) And is washer safe. Maybe for pooches under 7 lbs? Anyway, it’s very cute, so please come in and check it out.
