Meet Gypsy! Gypsy is a true rescue dog - she was found abandoned on the street in Venice in the middle of the night. One of our good customers took her in and meant to find her a good home, but she fell in love with Gypsy and decided to keep her instead. I can understand why, because as soon as I kneeled down Gypsy came over to me and treated me like her good friend. What a sweetheart! Gypsy got her first hoodie and she looks great! We hope to see her again soon.
Chisler the chihuahua is a little shy, but when he heard we were raising money for the Japanese Red Cross he jumped at the chance to help out. His mom kindly bought him a Venicepets Peace tee and their generous contribution will help the victims of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami disaster. Thank you so much for being so sweet!

Meet Belvedere! The temptation to call him Mr. Belvedere is overwhelming, but not as overwhelming as his cuteness! Belvedere stopped by to get himself a brand new leather collar. He may look like a pup but actually Belvedere is a full grown 1 year old!

Meet Smudge! Upon first glance you might think she's a very tiny pitbull but in fact Smudge is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier! They're pretty rare so Smudge is the first staffordshire bull terrier I've ever met. She's a super sweet girl and a pleasure to get to know, and with a name like Smudge, we fell in love with her immediately. We hope to see her again soon!
Meet Joey! Joey is a terrier, and he competes in breed shows. In fact, this weekend is his next show! He's certainly a handsome dog so I'm sure he's going to do a great job. Good luck Joey, everyone at Venicepets is rooting for you!

Meet Lilabear the labradoodle! Lilabear is still a puppy so she's super playful, friendly, and curious! All in all a very happy girl. She loves to come in for grooming and we love to have her here with us. We didn't get a photo of it but her mom loves to carry her just like a baby! It's the cutest thing. See you next time, Lilabear!

Peru, one of our best customers is leaving L.A this week so today was the last time we got to see her. We will miss Peru and her family so so much! It's been great to have the opportunity to get to know Peru (she's so cute and sweet), we're happy to see her starting a new chapter in her life but so sad to see her go. Good luck Peru and family! Visit us when you're in L.A!
Meet Coco and Roma! Coco(left) and Roma(right) are both chihuahua mixes, and since they're so cute I just had to ask their mom where they came from. Coco and Roma are both rescues, Roma has only been in her new home for a few weeks. She was picked up from the Pasadena Animal Shelter right before she was due to be put to sleep. She went from death row to being in a loving home with a new best friend! Amazing difference isn't it?
Meet Oliver the bichon mix! Oliver is super friendly, playful, and helpful too! So helpful that he decided to help out as a salesdog while he was here. The photo above is of him behind the register, you can see Mocha's back in the photo too.
"Hi!"
Oliver isn't big enough to look over the cash register so he invented his own way of greeting customers - through the gap.
"Almost...there!"
Then he tried just jumping up any time someone came in.
Finally Oliver realized that if he just went around the corner he could say hi to people without jumping or shoving his muzzle through the gap between the fixtures. Mocha and Java knew this the whole time but chose not to tell him because watching him trying to figure it out was way more fun.
We hope to see Oliver back again soon! He was a great salesdog!

Meet Abby, the yorkshire terrier! Abby got herself the warm green sweater she's wearing in this photo. Isn't she cute? We love her ears! She is actually one of 5 doggies at home - yep, 5 brothers and sisters to play and snuggle with. Abby is living the good life!

Today's customer is Bailey the Lhasa Apso! Bailey came to get groomed and got some super cute pink bows in her hair! Everyone at Venicepets thinks both Bailey and her mom have beautiful hair, wouldn't you agree?
Meet Coco, the French Bulldog puppy! Coco is only 9 weeks old so she has to be carried by her mom until she gets a bit older. She's just like any other baby dog - chubby, sleepy, warm, cute, and sweet! She got her first harness from our shop and she'll come back in the future so we're looking forward to watching her grow up. Coco is her name for the time being so it might change, we'll see :)
Meet Pearl the bulldog mix! I fell in love with Pearl the second she stepped paws in the shop. Not only is she super cute, she's got a great sense of humor as well! Pearl got herself a few new toys, treats and this orange argyle sweater she's wearing. The beanie she's got on is her mom's though so sorry, not for sale! Pearl also knows how to give high fives, lay down, and pretend she's just been shot. We hope Pearl comes back to visit us again soon!
Remember Lyle the skateboarding/snowboarding/surfing spokesdog? He stopped by again and this time he got the turtle rope toy he's balancing on his head above. Isn't he just so cute? 
Lyle loves playing with his brand new toy. We hope Lyle finds some time in his busy schedule to stop by and see us again soon!

Meet Rooney, the cocker spaniel mix! Like many of our customers, Rooney opted for the mohawk and it looks awesome. Although it's not totally obvious from the photo, Rooney also has amazing eyelashes! It must be the cocker spaniel in him.
Meet Howie, the Wheaton Terrier. Howie came for his first haircut with us and his family was so happy about it! Howie also got a cute rope toy as his reward for being such a good boy.
We wrote about Wrigley about 2 days ago, but this time he came back for his first grooming! Here he is with his dad and wearing his brand new shearling jacket from our shop. Wrigley is cute in photos but he's even cuter in person! It's not just his looks, his personality is just irresistably cute.
Here he is again, pondering life and just being cute. We hope to see him and his family back again soon!

Meet Isis, the Savannah cat!
Meet Wrigley the Morkie! For those of you who don't know, a Morkie is a Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier mix. Wrigley is 10 weeks old and probably the most cooperative puppy I've ever seen. He let his family dress him up and do whatever. Puppies sleep a lot so I'm sure he was just really tired and sleepy. I think this coat looks great on him, don't you?
We got a very nice surprise the other day when Hana's dad emailed us this photo of her wearing a Venicepets tee! Hana is a Frengle - French Bulldog/Beagle mix! I think Frengle is a really cute way of saying it. Hana is from Laguna Hills, OC and next month she will be 4 years old, so happy early birthday Hana! Thank you to her dad for sending us this super cute photo too!
