Hello everyone! As we all know, with all the love and happiness we experience through being pet-parents, there is always the inevitable day when we must part and say goodbye. A very nice lady came into the shop the other day wanting to buy one of our dog mannequins she saw by the window. We typically don't sell the mannequins but Mari (VP and MDG owner) decided to make an exception for this lady and we sold it to her. When Mari inquired about what she was going to use the mannequin for, the lady told her that she had recently lost her beloved chihuahua, and that the mannequin happened to be the exact size of her dog. She was going to use the mannequin in memory of her dog and put her dog's clothing on it. We were extremely touched and wanted to share this story. We know a lot of people have the mentality that pets are "just pets," but we at Venicepets feel and treat them as members of our family. You don't just forget a family member, right? We're happy that this mannequin gets to serve the purpose of comforting a person's loss instead of simply sitting by the window. We hope this makes her days go by a little bit easier and we sympathize with her loss.
