TODAY'S CUSTOMER ~* WILLIAM & HENRY - PUGS *~

This is William and Henry the pugs! They're our regular grooming customers. William (left), is a champion dog and Henry (right) is his son. They are definitely an inseperable pair, and they have very distinct personalities. Henry won't go anywhere without William, and when William gets to greet their parents first Henry gets super jealous and upset. Hilarious...adorable...well behaved...what more could one ask for?

Today we got a visit from Fonzie, a super cute 10 week old schnoodle! A schnoodle is a schnauzer/poodle mix. Here's a photo of Fonzie and his parents, who bought him his first bully stick ever.

We've featured Dallas on the blog before - Dallas is one of our regular customers. This time Dallas brought his new friend Maca with him for grooming! Maca came with his family from Croatia. He's super cute and does a very cute begging stance. Welcome to your new life in Venice, Maca! Dallas looks happy to have a best friend, too.

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ~* RUE - MIX BREED *~

Meet Rue the 1 year old mix! Rue's breed is a mystery..She's a mixed breed dog, but what kind of mix she is is entirely unknown. To me she looks like a tiny shephered/doberman mix, but who knows! One thing is for sure though, she's adorable. Her mom brought her in for her first grooming with us and all our staff was very impressed with how well behaved she was. She loves being bathed. When her mom came back to pick her up she was all kinds of excited so it was hard to take a clear photo of her, you can see her blurry tail wagging as I took her photo.

We hope Rue and her mom come back again soon!

Have you ever seen a brown husky?? Kona is a brown husky and one of our customers. It's hard to tell from the photograph, but Kona's coloring isn't her only unique attribute - she's also got an arrow --> shaped marking on her nose! Kona is a very cute and unique dog, and a great name too! We hope to see her again soon.

Today's customer is Cooke the toy poodle! Cookie is always super happy, especially when her mom arrives with her carrier! As soon as Cookie sees her bag she jumps right in. Fun fact about Cookie: She was born in Tokyo!

We love seeing Cookie whenever her mom drops her off for grooming. Hopefully they'll be back soon.

ANESTHESIA-FREE TEETH CLEANING REMINDER FOR OCTOBER

Getting a pet's teeth cleaned at the vet can be stressful for both pet and owner because pets need to be put under general anesthesia for the vet to clean their teeth. Not to mentions it's expensive. But not to worry! Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming offers anesthesia-free teeth cleaning once a month! This service is performed by our dental hygienist, Laurie, who does an excellent job. Your pet simply sits on her lap and she talks and praises to reassure them. Most pets love the attention and enjoy seeing her! Your pets will thank you for it. Halloween is a little less than 2 weeks ago, how exciting! If your pet is still without a costume, stop by and pick one up before we're all out.


We have little Mexican Mariachi hats that look great, especially on chihuahuas! These are handmade in Mexico City, so they're real Mexican hats!

We also have a few other little costumes left, and some great fall-colored rope toys. Psst, some costumes are on sale!

Meet Nikki the maltese mix and her mom! This week Nikki, who's 10 months old, had her 2nd grooming with us. She's adorable! Her mom bought her a cute little sweater since the weather is getting a little chillier now (I hope it stays that way! L.A lacks a real winter). We hope to see them back again soon.

Meet Franklyn the puggle! Meet Mischka the Shihtzu! Mischka will be 3 years old next month. It's raining like crazy today so Mischka and her mom stopped by to get a raincoat. Mischka's mom also wanted her to have something to keep her warm under her new raincoat, so she got a Venicepets charity t-shirt. Thank you to Mischka and her mom for their donation. 100% of the proceeds go to the Japanese Red Cross. Finally Mischka also got a pink heart rope toy. What a lucky girl!

RESTOCKED - TOYS & TREATS

We've just restocked on our best-selling puzzle plush toys at the shop! Each toy contains three squeaky toys that dogs have to figure out how to remove from the larger toy. Now the squirrel version comes in junior, medium, and jumbo sizes!

The birdhouse and bumblebee versions are available in the regular medium size.

We've also received a restock of Pet N' Shape chicken biscuits (biscuits wrapped in chicken jerky) chicken n' rice balls, chicken skewers, and chicken n' sweet potato. All of these treats are 100% natural too!

Please stop by the store to pick up some brand new toys or treats for your dog before we run out again :)

Meet Lola the french bulldog and Charlie the maltipoo! Lola and Charlie are our new grooming customers. They were here two days in a row :) Both of them are 7 years old. They're very well-behaved and very sweet. It was so nice to meet them!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ~* PRINCESS - RABBIT *~

Today's customer is our first bunny customer <3 This is Princess, she's a 3 month old rabbit. Super cute!

This little bunny reminded me of something...Did you guys know that in Japan there are bunny cafes? It's basically a cafe where you can pay to pet lots of different bunnies..It's also a place where people can bring their own bunnies to come socialize with other bunnies. Isn't that cute? All the resident bunnies are well taken care of, of course. Rabbits are actually very good pets. You can potty train them to go in a litter box, so it's almost like having a dog or cat.
