Meet Renoir, the Lhasa Apso mix! Renoir is only 5 months old, so she's super friendly and playful! Here she is with her mom, right after her first haircut with us! Renoir reminds us of another dog that comes for grooming named Matisse! Renoir and Matisse should get together and go to art museums together. Now we just need Van Gogh...
Meet Cody the terrier mix! Cody came in for a haircut, and got what we call a "modified schnauzer" haircut. He looks great! Here he is with his dad right after being groomed. We hope to see them back again soon!

Meet Annie, the dachshund/chihuahua mix! I guess you could say she's a chiweenie puppy, she's only 9 weeks old. Annie and her wonderful parents stopped by with Annie to pick out a new sweater and they chose the argyle sweater in orange. She looks great! We hope to see Annie and her parents back again soon.
Meet Dillon, the baby pug! Dillon is just 11 weeks old, and she stopped by the shop for the first time the other day to get her very first nail trim and a brand new hoodie! Her new hoodie kind of matches her mom doesn't it?

Meet Rocco and his new brother! They stopped by a few weeks ago and got some new super cool matching camo collars. They're so cute (maybe it's cuz I'm a chihuahua owner, but I just can't resist)! We hope to see them back again soon.
Hachi has been featured on the blog before, but that was when he was a little baby, before he could fit into his awesome soft harness (he's wearing it above)! Hachi came back a couple weeks ago to get his very first haircut, and he looks great!
Don't worry, Hachi wasn't hurt! Luckily his harness was attached to his leash, so his dad caught him just in time - another reason why having a harness is so great! Hachi went back to normal right after this. He's definitely a funny boy and we hope to see Hachi and his wonderful family back again soon.
Happy New Year from Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming! We decided we'd kick off 2011 with new shop hours for Venicepets(retail). We'll be open every Sunday in January and closed every Monday in January (we used to close Sundays and open Mondays). This is something new we're trying out so it might just be for January, but we'll keep you updated on our shop hours for sure! Please note that the grooming hours will stay the same, the change pertains only to the retail. Lyle stopped by Venicepets the other day to get this awesome knitted sweater he's wearing in the pictures. Of course, as a model he gave us his best model pose. Go to Lyle's website to see videos of him snowboarding and skateboarding, and don't forget he'll be in this year's Rose Parade on channel 5 Saturday, January 1st, 2011. Lyle will be on the World's Heaviest Float, which is of course supposed to set the Guinness World Record for world's heaviest float! You can catch Lyle and the rest of his skateboarding bulldog pals on the float on December 26th, channel 5, at 4:30pm.

We just got more Smiley beds in, just in time for the holidays! We previously had only yellow Smiley in the store but now there's pink too. 
For those of you who like the Smiley bed, there's also the Smiley backpack! The Smiley backpack attaches easily to a harness, so you can put your doggy's poop bags, treats, or anything you want inside! The backpack is also attaches to any leash, and comes with a strap so you can carry it for yourself as well. And my favorite part - it squeaks too! It's a toy, backpack or pouch all in one.
We have the Smiley or Peace sign in stock at the shop. There's only a few so stock up while they're still here! They make a perfect little present for you or a friend's dog.
All of our staff is completely in love with this adorable new Gingerbread house we just got in stock at the shop. There's only 1 so nab it before somebody else does! The mat inside is removable and the entire house disassembles so you can put it away neatly after the holidays. SO. CUTE!
Meet Tubbs the French Bulldog! Today Tubbs had his first grooming ever. He's 8 months old, and super cute and friendly. We look forward to seeing Tubbs and his awesome dad back again soon!
