Meet Dolly, the Dalmatian mix! Dolly is a rescue, and has been with her fur-ever family for about 1 1/2 months, but judging by Dolly's sweet and playful attitude towards her family I think Dolly feels like she's been with them always! Dolly and her equally adorable brother Roony stopped by the shop to get some sweaters and such for the winter weather.

Roony wanted to play but Dolly seemed more interested in relaxing in her brand new sweater. We hope Roony, Dolly and their family visit us again soon!

Meet Teah the pitbull! Teah's sweet mom loves to spoil her with treats, and Teah got a brand new pink collar as well. You can't see it in the photo, but her new pink collar has a leather flower on it and it looks sooo cute on her! Gray dogs always look good with pink, and pitbull girls always look extra cute when they have something girly on, so the collar looked great on Teah! We hope to see Teah and her mom back again soon.

Meet Renoir, the Lhasa Apso mix! Renoir is only 5 months old, so she's super friendly and playful! Here she is with her mom, right after her first haircut with us! Renoir reminds us of another dog that comes for grooming named Matisse! Renoir and Matisse should get together and go to art museums together. Now we just need Van Gogh...

ANESTHESIA-FREE TEETH CLEANING REMINDER FOR JANUARY

Getting a pet’s teeth cleaned at the vet can be stressful for both pet and owner because pets need to be put under general anesthesia in order for the vet to clean their teeth, and is much more expensive. But not to worry! You can always get anesthesia-free teeth cleaning right here at Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming! Laurie, our dental hygienist, comes in once a month and performs this service. The pet simply sits in her lap, she talks and praises to reassure them. Most pets love the attention and enjoy seeing her! Your pets will thank you for it. They look and smell so much better after cleaning. Mari's poodles, Mocha and Java, love to get their teeth cleaned. Here they are right after the cleaning, all smiles! Teeth cleaning is available for both dogs and cats.

Just to let everybody know, our next date for anesthesia-free teeth cleaning is Monday, January 24th. We previously mentioned that we would be closed Mondays, and that still holds true, the exception being the last Monday of the month (in other words, teeth cleaning Mondays). So yes, teeth cleaning will still be on Mondays and yes, we will be here! Appointment slots are filling up fast so please contact us ASAP to book an appointment! Meet Annie, the dachshund/chihuahua mix! I guess you could say she's a chiweenie puppy, she's only 9 weeks old. Annie and her wonderful parents stopped by with Annie to pick out a new sweater and they chose the argyle sweater in orange. She looks great! We hope to see Annie and her parents back again soon.

Meet Dillon, the baby pug! Dillon is just 11 weeks old, and she stopped by the shop for the first time the other day to get her very first nail trim and a brand new hoodie! Her new hoodie kind of matches her mom doesn't it?

Meet Rocco and his new brother! They stopped by a few weeks ago and got some new super cool matching camo collars. They're so cute (maybe it's cuz I'm a chihuahua owner, but I just can't resist)! We hope to see them back again soon.

TODAY'S CUSTOMER UPDATE ★HACHI-MALTIPOO★

Hachi has been featured on the blog before, but that was when he was a little baby, before he could fit into his awesome soft harness (he's wearing it above)! Hachi came back a couple weeks ago to get his very first haircut, and he looks great!

Hachi was so happy to see his mom and dad that he wouldn't stop barking excitedly while we were taking photos, which resulted in Hachi falling through the hole behind him in the chair while I was trying to take photos, and we captured the exact moment of Hachi's surprise when he fell!

Don't worry, Hachi wasn't hurt! Luckily his harness was attached to his leash, so his dad caught him just in time - another reason why having a harness is so great! Hachi went back to normal right after this. He's definitely a funny boy and we hope to see Hachi and his wonderful family back again soon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! SHOP HOURS CHANGED.

Happy New Year from Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming! We decided we'd kick off 2011 with new shop hours for Venicepets(retail). We'll be open every Sunday in January and closed every Monday in January (we used to close Sundays and open Mondays). This is something new we're trying out so it might just be for January, but we'll keep you updated on our shop hours for sure! Please note that the grooming hours will stay the same, the change pertains only to the retail. Thank you guys for continuing to read our little blog and we are so grateful to have such amazing customers. Hope to see you all soon!
