FEATURE ITEM ★TOYS★

Today we're going to tell you about some of our favorite toys here at Venicepets. The ones in the photo above are all food-themed and they are perfect for any dog who loves to play with soft, fluffy toys. They all have nice loud squeakers inside too! The ice cream cones come in different sizes and flavors, but some of them have already sold out so get them while you still can! There is also a limited quantity of the tea cup, and the sweet chocolate cake is the last one in stock. The chocolate cakes won't be made anymore either, so if you really like it it's your last chance!

These ones are very popular as well. They are a cuter, unique, and more modern version of the rope toy and are made from eco-friendly materials. They come in a large variety of animals (more than in the picture) such as lobster, crab, duck, cat, dog, camel, elephant, penguin, horse, and more! Rope toys are good for dog's teeth, and the company that makes these also donates a portion of the proceeds to rescue. We have sizes for big and small dogs so everyone can pick their favorite animal and take them home to chew and snuggle with them :)

Last but not least, for the car enthusiast we have the Furrari, Furcedes, Barkswagen, NY Taxi and SF cable Car. All of these have loud squeakers inside as well for hours of fun! You can come into the shop and check out any of these fun toys and more Mondays 12-6pm, Tuesday - Saturday 12-7pm, Sundays-closed. Hope to see you soon!

FEATURE ITEM ★SCOOPIES★

Have you ever heard of Scoopies? Scoopies are biodegradeable poop pick-up baggies. They completely degrade from the environment in 18 months - very eco-friendly. They are shaped like mitts and dispense directly from the box, which can also loop onto your dog's leash or collar, as well as fit conveniently in your purse or bag.

Scoopies bags can pick up poo from any dog - chihuahua or St. Bernard! Scoopies also donates a portion of their profit to animals in need. These bags are one of our favorite products and many of our customers love them! We always stock them in the shop, so please come and check them out!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★OZZY-AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG★

This is Ozzy, an Australian Cattle Dog, and her beautiful mom! Ozzy's mom always brings her for grooming, and when Ozzy gets picked up she always gets a treat! Ozzy was adopted a few years ago after her mom's previous doggy, another Australian Cattle Dog passed away (we have her picture framed in the grooming room in her honor). Ozzy is very sweet and we always enjoy having her here at Marina Dog Grooming/Venicepets. We hope to see them again soon!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★MARLO-MIX BREED★

This is Marlo and his mom. He came in to special order an XL Soft Harness. The soft harnesses are great and many of our customers love them (I also love them for my 2 chihuahuas). Marlo is only 7 months old so he was very curious about the store and quickly found that the chair was a very comfy place for him to wait while his mom was at the register. Like many of our good customers, Marlo is a rescue. Before he was rescued, he was thrown out of a car in the freeway so he doesn't like traffic and his sweet mom carries him out so he can feel safe. Despite his past he's a very happy and fun-loving dog. We're so happy that Marlo now has a loving family and we hope to see them very soon!

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★PORKCHOP & BAILEY-SHIHTZU★

Meet Porkchop & Bailey the shihtzus, and their dad, Joe! Porkchop and Bailey come regularly for grooming with Mari. Usually only Porkchop gets a mohawk, but this time since Joe came in with a mohawk Mari decided to do a mohawk for Bailey too so that all three of them could have mohawks! It's the mohawk family :D We hope to see them back soon! It's always a pleasure to have them visit us in the shop and grooming salon.

Tiny As A Giftcard!

Meet Dixie Lou! She's an 8 week old chihuahua puppy. Since she's just a baby her family came in to do some much needed shopping for her wardrobe. Dixie Lou is a very girly girl and she got many girly things. Mari wanted to show everyone how tiny Dixie Lou is, so here she is next to a Venicepets giftcard. We can't wait to see her again, she's so cute!

This is TT the chihuahua! He came to the shop to do some shopping and picked a snow parka jacket for himself. He's going to Germany to visit his family so he has to look his best. Introducing Bodie and Chloe! Bodie and Chloe are Mi-Ki's. In case you didn't know, the Mi-Ki breed is a new breed developed here in the U.S and they are very rare. They are tiny, soft, super cute, and so sweet! Bodie and Chloe come in regularly for grooming, and today Bodie and Chloe's lovely family brought us some beautiful fragrant flowers. Introducing Joey the poodle! Joey is a regular here at Marina Dog Grooming so we took his picture today. Joey's story is actually quite amazing! He was adopted by his wonderful family after being at a rescue for THREE YEARS. Joey was their longest resident. Now Joey's life is very different and he gets to choose his own treats, etc. What a lucky boy! We hope to see Joey again and his amazing family soon :)

Today's customer is Mogsy! He's a poodle/terrier mix. Mogsy isn't being mean or growling, he's actually smiling! This is the way Mogsy smiles when you call his name and he gets happy and excited :) We always have a lot of fun when Mogsy comes in to visit us for grooming. Introducing Sebastian, a miniature poodle! He's about 1 year old and was adopted by his lovely mom last week from a rescue. It's hard to believe he has gone from not having a home to now having anything he wants and needs! He's very very cute and sweet. Today Sebastian got his first hoodie (I forgot to take a picture of him wearing it) but I assure you he looks very handsome in it. We hope to see Sebastian and his mom again soon!

Introducing Chowder, Coco, and Lola! They're a Boston Terrier family. Chowder is the mom and Coco and Lola are her daughters. They came in to pick out some brand new collars, leashes, and harnesses, and of course they got all matching styles (different colors though)! They're very sweet and friendly and were giving me kisses the whole time. Everyone here at Venicepets hopes to see them soon :)

TODAY'S CUSTOMER ★RARE BOSTON TERRIER★

Yesterday this super handsome little guy stopped by for a nail trim and we just had to take a picture! Do you notice anything different about this boston terrier? He's brown and white! If you look closely his eyes are a nice light brown as well. Have you ever seen any boston terrier like him before? Apparently it's a very rare occurance - 1/1000 chances I believe (correct me if I'm wrong). We're very happy that we get to know him! We hope he and his parents come visit us again soon :)

ANESTHESIA-FREE TEETH CLEANING

Meet Lolly, our dental hygenist who comes once a month to perform anesthesia-free teeth cleaning here at Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming. Getting a pet’s teeth cleaned at the vet can be stressful for both pet and owner because pets need to be put under general anesthesia in order for the vet to clean their teeth. But Lolly's technique is kind and gentle. The pet simply sits in her lap, she talks and praises to reassure them. Most pets love the attention and enjoy seeing her! Your pets will thank you for it. They look and smell so much better after cleaning. Mocha and Java are so happy after getting their teeth cleaned - Java even smiled for the picture to show off his beautiful clean teeth!

Today's customer is Chichi! She's an adorable 8 month old chihuahua. She and her parents came in to browse the shop and pick up some tasty treats. Like most chihuahuas, Chichi is very proud and very brave and loves to bark. I wish she could have met my 2 chihuahuas, they're just like Chichi and they would have made good friends! Today we're featuring one of the many super cool items here at Venicepets - the Teepee Lounge tent! It's really nice and roomy and there's a soft pad inside that is removable in case you need to clean it. Dogs love to have their own personal space and this is a perfect place for your best friend to snuggle inside. There's a bag included with the bed so that you can fold the tent up and store it inside to take with you when you're camping, at the beach, on vacation, or simply when you're not using it, and it's nice and light. Very convenient and very cool!

Today's customer is Coco, a german shepherd mix. Coco comes very often to get groomed, you might say she is a VIP (very important pet)! Coco and her dad always make us smile whenever they come to the shop. Today Coco's dad got her one of our tube sock toys, but he was hiding it from her so that she can get surprised when she gets home. Here she is being hugged by her dad, totally unaware of her new present! We hope to see Coco back very soon :)

Today's customer is Dakota! She's a pitbull/ridgeback mix, and she's a very pretty dog. Dakota's dad loves to spoil her with lots of toys and treats, and he brings her in regularly for grooming. All of the Venicepets/Marina Dog Grooming staff love to have Dakota and her dad here with us. Dakota is such a happy dog, and she lives like a queen!
